Ao contrário, se fôssemos falar sempre o mais correto possível, toda pergunta, negação ou resposta curta traria um verbo auxiliar (be - am, is, are, etc. -, do, does, did, will, would, have, has, had).

Alguns exemplos:

Remember me? (Do you remember me?)

See? (Do you see?)

Like some coffee (Would you like some coffee?)

Working hard? (Are you working hard?)

Been here long? (Have you been here a long time?)

want / would like / wish

Ex:
I want to get a new job. That´s why I´m updating my résumé.
We are moving to the new house because we want to live closer to our jobs.
What do you want to do tonight?
I don´t want to eat anything right now.

Ex:
I´d like to talk to the manager, please.
Would you like anything to drink?
What would you like to do tonight?
I wouldn´t like to see a movie today. Let´s do something else.

Ex:
I wish I had a bigger house.
My girlfriend wishes she could play the guitar.
We wish we didn´t live so far from each other.

We wish we had seen the show. Our friends said it was fantastic.

Não se diz: I´m wanting / We´re wishing / I´m liking, I will want, we will like, etc.

Ex:
I want to go to Bahia on my next vacation.
She wants to start her own business next year.

some / any / no

Vejamos:

Affirmative:
I have some English books.

Negative:
I don´t play any sports.

Interrogative:
Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Ex: I´m free tomorrow. We can meet at any time.

Ex: Would you like some coffee?

Some students didn´t do the test.

Note que any só tem o sentido de nenhum quando antecedido de not.

I don´t eat any meat. (not + any)

No tem o mesmo significado de not + any
Ex: I have no free time. = I don´t have any free time.

A pessoa é fluente quando diz: I usually have a busy day at the office. I have usually a day busy in the office.

Question:Do you work here?
Answer: Yes, I do.

Q: Does your brother like English?
A: No, he doesn´t.

Ex: I will (I´ll) stay at the office until 7 p.m.
I will not (won´t) leave at 5 today.

Existe também o Future tense expresso pelo verbo to be + going to

Ex: I am going to go to the beach this weekend.

A principal diferença entre o uso de will ou de am/is/are (be) + going to é a idéia de certeza sobre oq irá acontecer ou fazer, expressa por be going to ou de ser algo ainda incerto ou decidido em cima da hora, expressa por will.

Talvez por isso, algumas pessoas façam uma relação entre will com um futuro mais distante e be going to com um futuro imediato ou próximo. Mas a idéia principal está relacionada à decisão já feita ou certeza: be going to ou a decisão tomada no momento da fala ou a incerteza sobre o evento futuro: will.

Verbos Auxiliares 1

I work
You work

He works
She works
It works

We work
You work
They work

Já no passado, o mesmo verbo to work possui uma única forma: worked para todos os pronomes.

I
You
He
She
